What is the difference between Natural Makeup and Soft Glam Makeup?
Natural Makeup is perfect for clients who rarely or never wear makeup and want to maintain a look that still feels like them. This style uses neutral tones to create a fresh, healthy appearance, with light foundation to conceal redness or, sometimes, just a simple concealer. A gloss or lip moisturizer completes the look.
Soft Glam Makeup is suitable for clients who desire a more polished and refined beauty look that remains soft. It involves medium coverage to accentuate and define facial features. Techniques such as contouring, highlighting for controlled radiance, lip liner, and lipstick are used to define the lips, and eyeliner may be applied to the eyelids, for example.
Are you able to do Glam makeup, even if it's not your specialty?
Absolutely! Our artists are capable of creating all desired makeup styles, including Glam looks, even if it’s not our specialty. You can check out our Our Services page to see examples of our various creations.
Where are you located?
Our studio is located in Montreal, in the St-Henri neighborhood, close to the Atwater Market.
What are the steps if I want to book your services?
To book our services, we require a deposit and the signing of a contract. You should provide us with all the important information via message, including: your full name, phone number, email address, the number of services required, the wedding date, the location of the wedding preparations, your billing address, the time by which you need to be ready, and if you would like a trial. We will also send you an invoice.
Is a Bridal trial required before the wedding?
No, a trial is not mandatory before your wedding, but it is highly recommended. If you choose not to have a trial, we advise having a clear idea of the desired look for your beauty services.
How far in advance of the wedding should I schedule my trial?
There is no set deadline, but we typically schedule trials at the beginning of the year. At the latest, we can schedule a trial one month before the wedding.
What services do you offer?
We offer makeup, hairstyling, and/or barber services à la carte or in combination packages. These services are available for the bride, bridesmaids, groom, groomsmen, flower girl, family members, or guests. We also provide beauty services for proms, events, and special occasions.
Do you offer discounts?
We do not offer general discounts at this time. However, we do provide a price reduction when you book services for 3 or more bridesmaids. This discount applies to bridesmaid services only.
Do you have a minimum number of people required to book your services?
Yes, during the off-season, a minimum of 3 people is required, and during the peak season, a minimum of 4 people is required per artist. The off-season runs from November to May, while the peak season is from June to October.
You can always contact us for more details. We sometimes make exceptions if an artist is available and can accommodate fewer than 3-4 people.
What makes your services unique?
At Marriage MTL, we work with experienced and trusted artists. While we can’t always avoid unforeseen events, we are committed to making every effort to find a replacement in case of cancellation. Your peace of mind is our priority. If, despite our efforts, we cannot find a replacement, we will inform you as soon as possible.
We prioritize traveling as a team when possible, which helps reduce travel costs.
Maintaining the cleanliness of our kit and tools is crucial. We frequently use disposable brushes and applicators, and we also ensure to wash and disinfect our hands regularly throughout the service day.
Our artists listen to your requests and do not prioritize their expertise over your vision. We work as a team with you to create a beauty look that reflects your style.
We offer to create a custom schedule for the wedding day. If you wish to use this service, please let us know, including the time by which everyone needs to be ready and their names.
We accommodate all ages, skin types, and tones. Our kits are fully equipped with all the necessary products to meet the needs of your bridal party, and the same goes for hairstyling.
How can I contact you?
You can contact us either through the form in the Contact section by sending a message, or by phone (call or text). We encourage you to leave a voicemail if you would like to be called back. In general, we will get in touch with you within 48 business hours.
Can you create a schedule for the wedding day?
Yes, we can create a custom schedule for the wedding day. We recommend providing us with this information no later than 1 week before the wedding so we can tailor the schedule to your needs. Please include the time by which everyone needs to be ready and the names of the individuals.
If your schedule is managed by a planner, please ensure to account for the necessary execution time so that the artist’s time is not reduced. It is important to allocate approximately 1 hour per bridesmaid, 1.5 hours for the bride, 20 minutes for setup at the start of the day, and 20 minutes at the end for packing up the kits. We also recommend a 30-minute buffer at the end for any necessary touch-ups.
How should I prepare for our trial appointment?
Have clean, hydrated skin with no residual makeup.
Put in your contact lenses before the appointment.
Ensure your hair is clean from the previous day and completely dry if you are using our hairstyling service.
Plan to arrive a bit early due to active train traffic.
Avoid consuming alcohol or any substances before your appointment.
How can I get to your studio?
Access by metro or car is available.
The Place St-Henri and Lionel Groulx metro stations are located 13 and 16 minutes on foot, respectively.
Alternatively, the studio is located near the junction of highways 15 and 20.
Is it possible to come to your studio without an appointment?
No, it is not possible. An appointment is required before you visit us in person.
What payment methods are accepted for the wedding?
For the wedding, the preferred payment method is e-transfer.
Some artists also accept cash and credit/debit cards. Please confirm with your artist.
What are your hours of operation?
Our profession allows us the flexibility to adjust our hours based on your needs, so we do not have fixed hours of operation.
Can I change the number of people receiving services?
At the time of the initial submission, you can indeed adjust the number of people as desired.
However, at the time of signing the contract, please note that we do not accept cancellations of services since we reserve time for each individual. If the schedule allows, we can, however, accommodate additional people.
How long does each service take?
We allocate approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour per bridesmaid, 1 to 1.5 hours for the bride, and between 1 to 2 hours for a trial.

We prioritize traveling as a team whenever possible. This helps reduce the overall cost of transportation and parking per artist. We travel to the locations by car.
How should I prepare before my wedding?
We will send you a preparation guide before your wedding. Here are the main points:
Have clean, hydrated skin with no residual makeup. Put in your contact lenses before the appointment.
Ensure your hair is clean from the previous day and completely dry if you are using our hairstyling service.
Provide a workspace of at least 90 cm x 30 cm for each artist.
Arrange for a high chair for the makeup artist and a regular (low-back) chair for the hairstylist.
The hairstylist should be positioned near an electrical outlet.
Ensure a well-lit and ventilated space, preferably near a window or patio door.
Place a trash can near the table for disposing of disposable tools.
Avoid consuming excessive alcohol or any other substances before and during our appointment.
What is a consultation?
A consultation is designed to identify a client’s needs. For example, it can be conducted before a trial or before the beauty services for the bridal party on the wedding day. The primary payment method accepted is e-transfer. However, other payment methods may be accepted, depending on the artist selected.
Where does the trial take place?
Trials are typically held at our studio in the St-Henri neighborhood at 4035 St-Ambroise Street, Montreal. An appointment is required before you come in.
I'm unsure whether to choose mascara, eyelash extensions, a lash lift, or false eyelashes for my wedding. What do you recommend?
All options are fine. The important thing is that you feel good and comfortable with your choice. The trial is specifically meant to help you try what you would like for your wedding.
Please note, we do not offer eyelash extension or lash lift services, only the application of disposable false lashes, either in strips or individuals.
Is there parking on-site?
Yes, you can park your car in the on-site parking lot (right near the main entrance), and it is free for the duration of your appointment. The parking lot is the one with green silos and the shed on Saint-Ambroise Street.
If the parking lot is full, you can also park on the surrounding streets or behind the Château St-Ambroise (the building across the street), for a fee (Indigo parking).
What is the maximum number of services each artist can handle on the wedding day?
Each artist works at a different pace. Some may handle a maximum of 5 people, while others can accommodate 8 or even 10.
Generally, the schedule of the day must first be considered. For example, if you need to be ready by 2:00 PM and have 6 people to be made up, the day would start around 7:00 AM with a single artist.
If 8 people need to be made up, we recommend having two artists. Each artist would handle 4 people, and the day would start around 9:00 AM.
