Ariane

I’m Ariane, a professional makeup artist and the president and founder of Mariage MTL, an agency specializing in makeup and hairstyling for weddings, founded in March 2024. I’ve been working in the beauty industry since 2015, after completing training at two recognized schools in Montreal. My passion for highlighting what makes each person unique has led me to work on a wide variety of projects, including TV shoots, commercial photoshoots, music videos, weddings, and private events.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate on productions such as En direct de l’univers, La semaine des 4 Julie, as well as for TVA Sports, La Zone Optique Lunetterie, and Canadian singer Connie Kaldor. I also gained extensive experience at MAC Cosmetics and worked with brands such as VKosmetik with Varda Étienne, Lise Watier, and Estée Lauder. In 2020, I partnered with Jimmy, the photographer behind @aetjphotos, which allowed me to better understand the impact of makeup in photography and to perfect my techniques for flawless results on camera.

With Mariage MTL, I wanted to create a supportive space where artists can fully thrive in a professional, respectful, and human-centered environment. I place great importance on listening to and understanding each client’s needs. My approach is gentle, personalized, and focused on authentic beauty. My goal is for every bride to feel beautiful, confident, and true to herself from the start to the end of her special day.

What is your favorite product and brand?
I really love the Hollywood Flawless Filter by Charlotte Tilbury, applied on the high points of the cheekbones. It gives a natural yet visible glow, perfect for enhancing the cheeks and finishing a natural or soft glam makeup look.

Which step do you enjoy the most during a bridal makeup service?
I absolutely love applying false lashes! It’s the final touch that truly makes all the difference, even for clients who prefer a very natural look.

What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is discovering the diversity of the people I meet and their stories. Every day comes with its own challenges, rewards, and new experiences, and it’s in those moments that I feel a deep sense of fulfillment.

What is your favorite makeup style to create for a client?
I really enjoy creating a soft glam look. I find it’s the perfect balance between softness and timeless beauty.
